Adam's Ultimate Breakthrough
A life without God hadn't seemed so bad until tragedy hit. In the face of hopelessness, Adam turned to the only thing that remained. Now he lives a life of hope, the life that he was destined for.
Read Adam's Story...
When I was growing up all was going well until I hit a brick wall at 13 when my mum passed away in 2001. Didn't grieve well and kept it all bottled up. I struggled at school and my confidence was low.
I started to hang around with the wrong group of people and we started experimenting with drugs. I got pretty heavely into drinking alcohol but in the morning the problems were still there. By the time I was 17 I was chronically depressed.
The night it all dawned on me it was New Years Eve of 2005 I was depressed and seriously thought about ending my life. I was walking around town on my own. That was the worst night of my life and in the morning I thought I have to do something about this.
My brother was a Christian and so I decided to pray. I had nothing to lose and went to church in first time in 5 or 6 yrs. As soon as first worship song started I knew God was real.
All my emotions that I had kept inside flooded out. I gave my life to God and let go of everything. I was a sobbing mess and sure, it didn't just go away but I felt like my future was going to be ok.
Life has been so much better than it ever was before and I haven't looked back. I am now involved in the Students Team and Sunday Production Team at church and I work at the Megacentre in the Conferencing Department. Life has never looked so good. I'm so thankful to God for being there when I needed him.
