City Hearts
City Hearts is a residential programme for women overcoming serious life issues such as drug and alcohol addictions, self harm, unplanned pregnancies, depression and eating disorders. The project also provides a refuge for women coming out of prostitution and exploitation.
2010 HERE WE COME!
We have had an incredible start to 2010 already here at City Hearts as we are gearing up for great things this year. We have already interviewed more young women from all walks of life over the past couple of weeks than ever before at this time of year. These women really want their freedom and it is so good to be launching the year with a reminder of our mandate so clearly in mind.
There are so many people to mention whose support has been invaluable to us over the past couple of months. The solicitor's firm WATSON-ESAM arranged a carol concert in aid of City Hearts, they have provided the funding for us to produce a piece or research, with the UKHTC, on the economic cost of human trafficking and they are providing ongoing staff training for our team for free. Patricia Bint and the team are real legends, if you don't know them, you should! We have been working with Katrina Bagshaw from BRAVURA event company and she has managed to get the City Hall in Sheffield this summer for our annual fundraising FASHION SHOW. Katrina you are the best! As well as this we have secured some funding from the BIG LOTTERY FUND to extend the living space at our main house in Sheffield! The girls will be pleased!
So hold on to your hats for 2010! Look out for the extension of our Support Services, lots of Fundraising Events and Open Days and a new rehab facility that will double our bed spaces. Thank you Faye Puzzovio from BITTER ORANGE for your research and architectural planning!
Most of all though, watch out for lives that are restored and changed. 2010 holds hope and greatness for many young women and we are honoured to be part of their journey to wholeness.

Open Day and Interview Day
The next City Hearts Open Day will take place on Wednesday 20th January 2010 - 1pm-4pm. Cost: £5 per person.
Future Open Days: 17th March 2010; 12th May 2010
The next City Hearts Interview Day will take place on Wednesday 27th January 2010 - 1pm-4pm (please note applications for this interview day must be sent to the City Hearts office by Wednesday 20th January 2010).
