Hello Ghana! Hope City Church has begun in Accra! These are exciting times we live in and there’s never been a better time to live in Accra than right now! They are exciting because we face a future filled with the goodness of God. Not only that, but to all who believe God, his promises now fill the air around us and give us hope to stay connected to him like never before.
That’s our dream you know! Hope City Church has come to Ghana to help connect you to your God-given destiny of firstly an authentic, genuine relationship with Him and then, equipping you to best use all the amazing gifts and talents packed into you by God, so you can help us win others too. No one invited us but we’re a little cheeky that way... You’ll soon find out that we love God and want serve him in this city with all our hearts, expanding His kingdom wherever we go and we can’t wait to meet you on that journey – Every one of you!

Here is a little more about who we are...
WHY ARE WE HERE?
Since 2008 Hope City Church has partnered with Compassion International by sponsoring children in some of the poorest parts of Ghana. Our church currently sponsors around 150 children in the area of Agona Kwanyako and Mankrong and our vision is to raise that sponsorship to 600 children by 2012 and to one day include the provision of much needed health care, education and other infrastructure improvements.
In November 2008 Rev Andy went out to visit these Compassion Projects, to see and hear from the people living there about life in Ghana and to find out how we could help impact the lives of those communities. A second visit by Andy and a great Hope City team, in August 2009 was the perfect opportunity to plan a huge holiday club, bringing the love of God and care to these same children and building an exciting timber-framed adventure playground for all the children to use.
At the heart of Hope City Church it longs to do more than just make a few visits each year to this beautiful nation though. We are here to establish a large, influential church, right here in Accra that is a vibrant part of the greater family of Hope City Church across the world. Hope city church is one church in 6 great cities, five in the UK and now 1 in Africa.

Our Pre-launch Services are starting every at the Holiday Inn from Sunday 2nd May at 11am on the Airport By-Pass Road.
Each of our Sunday Services are full of enthusiastic praise and the power of God’s presence. They are light-hearted too and have a great family feel because we aim to do life really well. We want to reach out to people with compassion and action, so that through us, God’s love may be shown and accepted. We’re making bold steps to put his church on the map in the city of Accra.
WE LOVE STUDENTS
Hope City Church has a fantastic history when it comes to raising up successful church leaders and pastors from its student members. That’s why here in Accra, for all 18-30’s and University Students we are launching our fantastic Campus Life Services every Wednesday on the University Campus at 6:00pm from 4th May each week, throughout the academic year. Whatever your experience or expectation of Christianity, Campus life is designed to revolutionise your Christian experience and connect you to God over and over again. It’s our vision that every person would be released into their God-given destiny and that especially means you! Campus Life with Hope City Church is the perfect way to make friends and do life with people who will inspire and encourage you to get God's best for your life. We can’t wait for you to jump on board.
GROUND UP MISSION: 25 May - 3rd JUNE 2010
Just before the football World Cup, we will be running the Ghana Express to help spread the word that Hope City is here. The Ghana Express will be 6 exciting days of mission work on the streets of Accra, visiting some great city schools and getting loud on Campus! Also, we will be running a one-day worship and music training seminar with guest speaker and published musician Ryan Gilpin, the worship Director at Hope City Cuhurch Sheffield, in England.
On Sunday 30 May we expect our 11:00am service to be packed out so we are running a second awesome service that night at 6:00pm, also at the Novotel. For each of these two huge services we’ve got the our Hope City UK worship leader Ryan Gilpin leading worship and special Guest Rev. Chris Denham will be fired up to preach a powerful message that you really don’t want to miss! Mark it in your diary now and bring ten of your best friends with you!
